Former Terrorist Investigations Department head, (DIG) Nalaka de Silva, was today ordered to be further remanded till December 11th.
He was arrested in October by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after being questioned over an alleged conspiracy to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and other VVIPs.
Activist Namal Kumara had made the revelation to the media over the plot to kill the President, following a telephone conversation he had with Nalaka de Silva.
Nalaka de Silva appeared in court today and was ordered to be further remanded.(Colombo Gazette)
