Six injured at Kelaniya campus

Six people were injured following a clash at the Kelaniya university last night, the police said. The police said that a group had entered the boy’s hostel of the campus and launched an attack resulting in the injuries. The six people have been admitted to hospital.

Government makes proposals on 13A

The government has made some proposals on the 13th Amendment to the constitution, Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said today. Cops arrested over murder

A police Sub Inspector (SI) and two other policemen were arrested over the murder of a businessman from Bambalapitiya. The police officers were arrested by the CID today over the May 22 murder. The CID has also questioned DIG?Vass Gunawardena over the incident. Mohammed Shyam, 35, was a businessman involved in the footwear industry residing at Sagara Road in Bambalapitiya.
