A UN delegation, which visited Sri Lanka recently, is currently briefing the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Navi Pillay on their findings, a UN spokesperson told The Sunday Leader. Lankans in Jordan hospitalized with food poisoning

One hundred and thirty Sri Lankan domestic workers who had taken refuge at their embassy in Jordan have been hospitalised with food poisoning, a security official said. Colonel Farid al-Sharaa, in a statement, said their condition was “stable” after having fallen ill from food ordered from a restaurant. Solhiem tells government to address Tamil issues
