Sri Lanka United Kingdom Society presented a Musical Evening with Barbara Segal and Menaka Singers Opera Ensemble at The Westminster House, Colombo.

President SLUKS Premila Paulraj gave the Welcome Address. The British High Commissioner James Dauris also spoke and Secretary SLUKS Suhashini Victoria proposed the Vote of Thanks. A wonderful evening of music was followed by Cocktails and Fellowship.

Wendy Whatmore Prize Giving

The Wendy Whatmore Academy of Speech & Drama held their 76th?Annual Prize Giving for Winners of 2016 in 2 Sessions at the Bishop?s College Auditirium, Colombo 3. Renu Samarasinghe was the Chief Guest for the first session with Judy Daniels and Shamila Hassan as Guests of Honour. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sri Lanka Mohammad Zaeri Amirani hosted a Reception to celebrate the 39th?Anniversary of the triumph of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo.
