Concerns raised on Tamil political prisoner issue

The Canadian Tamil Congress (?CTC?) says it is deeply concerned that the Government has failed to uphold its promise to Tamil political prisoners that it would review their cases and ensure their release by December 15, 2015. Government confident it will stay for five years

The Government is confident it will complete its full?five year term no matter what is said. Passenger claiming to be from Ministry arrested with gold

A passenger who claimed he was from a Government Ministry, was arrested with gold in his possession at the Bandaranaike International Airport. The Customs Department said that the suspect had four gold biscuits in his possession at the time of the arrest. (Colombo Gazette)
