Eight admitted to hospital following Mullaitivu explosion

Eight children were admitted to hospital following an explosion at a school in?Mullaitivu today. The Police said that six girls and two boys were admitted to hospital. The explosion took place during a dengue eradication program.

Dumindra Ratnayaka appointed new BOI Chairman

Dumindra Ratnayaka has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI). He replaces Upul Jayasuriya who resigned from the post of Chairman on personal grounds last week. Jayasuriya’s resignation came as the BOI faced allegations over some of the agreements it had signed in the recent past. Jayasuriya was the former President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka.
