Ravi complains of drone used to video his house

Former Minister Ravi Karunanayake complained to Parliament today saying a drone had been used to video his house in Kotte, which is located near Parliament.

Karunanayake said that his security officers had detained an individual identified as D.M Lahiru who operated the drone claiming he was from a television station.

The former Finance Minister urged the Speaker to investigate the incident as it posed a threat to him and Parliament.

He also asked if the Speaker had approved the use of drones in the Parliament area.

The Speaker responded saying he had not approved the use of drones near Parliament and that he will investigate the matter. (Colombo Gazette)
