Sri Lanka has assured China that it will actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said today. Seeduwa Police Crimes unit OIC arrested for accepting a bribe

The Crimes unit Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Seeduwa Police was arrested by the Bribery Commission over allegations he accepted a bribe. The OIC was arrested while in the process of accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000, the?Bribery Commission said. According to the?Bribery Commission, the OIC had also accepted a bottle of wine as a bribe.
