Bail application filed by Johnston Fernando rejected

The Court of Appeal today rejected a bail application filed by Former Minister Johnston Fernando.

The court had reserved the order till today to decide on the bail application.

Fernando has been in remand over the alleged misappropriation of Government funds.

Fernando and two others were accused of?misappropriating Government funds from?Lanka Sathosa when the former Government was in office.?(Colombo Gazette)
