IGP orders probe into TID DIG over allegations against him

Inspector General of Police (IGP)?Pujith Jayasundera has ordered an investigation against Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nalaka de Silva, who is in charge of the Terrorism Investigation Division.

The investigation has been called for after DIG?Nalaka de Silva was accused of attempting to tarnish the image of senior Police officers.

A telephone conversation had been leaked to the media yesterday where a person claiming to be?DIG?Nalaka de Silva is heard saying false statements must be made against some senior Police officers. (Colombo Gazette)
