Over 180 people detected with Covid in Avissawella

Over 180 people have been detected with Covid in Avissawella, officials said. Officials said that 187 people were detected with the virus in Avissawella over a 24-hour period ending at 6am today. They were among 589 people detected with the virus in the Colombo District during this period. Remains of turtles and dolphins washed ashore

The remains of turtles and dolphins have been found washed ashore in parts of the country. At least six turtles and one dolphin were found dead today. However, it is still not clear if the deaths were caused by the fire on the ship, MV X-Press Pearl.
