President informs Cabinet on next round of ETCA talks

President Ranil Wickremesinghe informed the Cabinet that the next round of talks on the India – Sri Lanka Economic and Trade Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) will be held in March. Concessions for passengers travelling by sea from Sri Lanka to India

The Cabinet has approved concessions for passengers travelling by sea from Sri Lanka to India. The Government said that it has been recognized that the promotion of maritime passenger transport between Sri Lanka and India has the potential to boost tourism by providing increased access to tourists from both countries. Sri Lanka bowled out Afghanistan for 115 to win their Twenty20 international by 72 runs and clinch the three-match series 2-0.
