Twelve Indian fishermen arrested for poaching in Sri Lankan waters

Twelve Indian fishermen were arrested today while poaching in Sri Lankan waters, the Navy media unit said. The Navy said that two trawlers used by the Indians were also seized. The arrest was made by Fast Attack Craft of the Sri Lanka Navy attached to the Northern Naval Command, in the seas off Delft Island. Ten suspects arrested over killing of leopard granted bail

Ten suspects arrested over the killing of a leopard in Kilinochchi were today granted bail. The suspects had been in?remand till today but were granted bail by the Kilinochchi Magistrate?s Court. Villagers in Kilinochchi had recently captured and killed a leopard after it attacked 10 people in the area.
