OMP hands over interim report to the President

The Office on Missing Persons (OMP) handed an interim report containing interim recommendations to President Maithripala Sirisena today.

The report was handed over to the President in Parliament.

The report contains recommendations for interim relief as well as securing truth and justice.

The OMP led by President’s Counsel Saliya Pieris, was established in February 2018 and since then it has met with families of the missing, particularly in the North and East. (Colombo Gazette)
