Foreign tourists have posted nude images taken in Sri Lanka, some in public places despite the strong Buddhist culture followed in the country. Nudity in public is not allowed in Sri Lanka and there have been instances where tourists have been arrested in the past for being nude in public. Sri Lanka hosts mass wedding for Chinese couples

Sri Lanka today hosted a mass wedding for 50 Chinese couples at a grand ceremony in Colombo. Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Champika Ranawaka said that the event was held to strengthen Sri Lanka – China ties. The event was organised by the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development and the Tourism Ministry as well as the Chinese Government.
