Two arrested over Wadduwa party deaths further remanded

Two people who were arrested over the death of four people after a party in Wadduwa recently, were today ordered to be further remanded till August 27th.

Among those arrested was the publicity officer of the organisers of the party.

Four people had been admitted to hospital after attending the party at a hotel?in?Wadduwa.

Two people died and another two were in hospital.

A third person later died while the fourth person also later died.?(Colombo Gazette)

Gayoom holds talks with Mahinda

Gunaratnam Blacklisted in Sri Lanka

Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) leader Premakumar Gunarathnam alias Kumar Mahathya has been blacklisted by the Sri Lankan government, reports said on Sunday.
