Two teens drown while bathing in Ma-Oya

Two teens drowned in the Ma-Oya in the Yaka Bendi Ella area in Giriulla, the Police said. The Police said that five people had gone for a bath in the Ma-Oya. Two teenage boys aged 17 and 18 who were part of the group had drowned while bathing. The victims have been identified and are said to be residents of Giriulla. Further investigations are underway. MCC review committee says proposal good but conditions must change

A four-member committee appointed to review the proposed Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement said today that while the proposal is good the conditions in the agreement are harmful to Sri Lanka. Another group of Indians repatriated from Sri Lanka

A group of 117 Indian nationals stranded in Sri Lanka were repatriated on a special Air India (AI 0274) flight from Colombo to Chennai today (Friday).
