Over 160 cases filed against illegal foreign employment agencies

Over 160 cases have been filed against illegal foreign employment agencies in Sri Lanka during the first seven months of this year, the Foreign Employment Ministry said today.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Employment, Manusha Nanayakkara said that 163 cases have been filed during the first seven months of this year and tough action will be taken against those accused.

The?Deputy Minister said that if any officials have been found to be involved in?foreign employment rackets, they will also be dealt with firmly.

He said that most cases filed this year have been against a?foreign employment recruitment agency which promised employment in the?Seychelles.

The?Deputy Minister said that of the?163 cases filed this year, 135 are against the same agency. (Colombo Gazette)

SriLankan Airlines misses another coupon on its 2024 bond

SriLankan Airlines Ltd. missed a third coupon payment on its dollar bond due later this year, according to a filing on Tuesday.?
