Tomorrowland draws over 400,000 attendees, including Sri Lankans

Sri Lankans were among?400,000 festival attendees at?Tomorrowland 2018 which drew to a close last weekend.

Tomorrowland?is now over for 2018 and with it came many iconic moments. This year, 400,000 festival attendees, 16 stages, and a stacked lineup defined the festival making it reign as the EDM festival giant.

In addition, so many historical events took place including a tribute to Avicii, Salvatore Ganacii clowning around onstage, a lunar eclipse, and the hottest day recorded in Belgium. While this year?s theme, the Story of Planaxis, has been put to rest you can relive the magic with the?Official Aftermovie.

The movie features nostalgia inducing moments that will definitely bring back the best memories. Shots from both weekends are included capturing all of the intense moments that Tomorrowland had to offer. For over 23 minutes the video shows thousands of people raging at every stage, multiple shots of Dreamville, and even the amenities the festival had to offer.

Eight killed after crowd surge at US music festival

At least eight people have died and scores of people have been hurt after a crowd surge on the opening night of a music festival in Houston, Texas. Panic broke out after the crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage at Travis Scott’s Astroworld Festival, emergency officials said. Sri Lankan singer Yohani enters Bollywood with a title track

Sri Lankan singer Yohani has entered Bollywood with the title track of the movie, Shiddat. The official female version of the title track originally sung by Manan Bhardwaj was released today. Shiddat ‘Journey Beyond Love’ is an Indian Hindi language romantic film Directed by Kunal Deshmukh and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan under the banners T-Series and Maddock Films. The film stars Radhika Madan, Sunny Kaushal, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty. The film will premiere on 1 October 20

Alec Baldwin fatally shoots woman with prop gun on movie set

A woman has died and a man has been injured after actor Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun on a New Mexico film set. Police in the US state said Mr Baldwin discharged the weapon during filming for the 19th Century western Rust. The woman was taken to hospital but died of her injuries. The man, the film’s director, was receiving emergency care. A spokesperson for Mr Baldwin told AP news agency the incident involved the misfiring of a prop gun with blanks.
