The State Minister and United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian said that he has done a lot for the public in his electorate yet come elections they vote for the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) or the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
The Puttalam District MP said that the UNP had developed his area by building news roads and other much needed infrastructure.
Range Bandara said that even at the last elections the public in the area voted for the SLPP.
“They (the public) live in the house we gave, they use the cement we gave for their work and vote for the SLPP,” he said.
Bandara says no matter what the UNP does the voter eventually goes and votes for the other side.
The State Minister said that if things don’t change by 2020 he will retire from politics. (Colombo Gazette)
