Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero ordered to disembark plane at BIA

The Venerable Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero was today ordered to?disembark a plane at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) following an issue which arose with regards to a court case filed against him.

The monk was about to travel to London via the BIA when he was instructed by officials to?disembark the plane after boarding it.

The Venerable Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero was told that there was an issue over a travel ban which had been issued against him earlier.

The monk had informed the airport officials that the travel ban had been lifted.

However since there was some doubt on the dates of the lifting of the travel ban the monk was not allowed to board the plane again. (Colombo Gazette)
