A group of Sri Lankans, who were stranded overseas due to the coronavirus pandemic, arrived in Sri Lanka this morning. The group consisting of 288 Sri Lankans were repatriated from Oman and arrived early this morning. Chief incumbent of Induruwa temple murdered

The Chief incumbent of a temple in the Maha- Induruwa area in Induruwa has been murdered. The Police said the deceased is a 73 year -old monk. His body was found inside his abode at the temple premises following a tip off from a group of persons who had visited the temple this morning. The Police further said the feet of the monk were bound when his body was discovered.? Twelve firearms recovered from Homagama during raid

One suspect has been arrested with a stock of firearms in Homagama. Officials from the Police Special Task Force (STF) have recovered 12 T- 56 firearms from the suspect?s possession. The weapons were recovered during a raid conducted by the STF in the Pitipana area in Homagama. (Colombo Gazette)
