Ranil appears before commission on Easter attacks

Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday terror attacks. Wickremesinghe, who served as the Prime Minister during the terror attacks, was last interrogated by the PCoI in August. Former President Maithripala Sirisena too testified before the Commission for nearly 06- hours yesterday. Several other Politicians?too were summoned by the PCoI on Easter attacks to record statements on various occasions.

Minuwangoda Brandix cluster crosses the 300 mark

Over 300 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in the Minuwangoda cluster. The Ministry of Health said that another 220 people tested positive for the virus in the Minuwangoda cluster as of this morning. The total number of coronavirus patients in the Minuwangoda coronavirus cluster was at 101 by late last evening. Viyalendiran sworn in as State Minister of Development in Rural Areas

State Minister Sadasivam Viyalendiran was sworn in as the State Minister for Development in Rural Areas, Domestic Animal Husbandry, and Small Economic Crops Promotion. The President?s Media Division said Viyalendiran was sworn in before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat today.
