SLFP sacks rebels from party organiser posts

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has sacked the SLFP members who left the Government, from their party organiser posts. The SLFP Central Committee took the decision at a meeting held last night. Court suspends CID probe on former Minister Ravi Karunanayake

The Colombo Magistrate?s Court today issued a stay order on the investigations being carried out by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on former Minister Ravi Karunanayake. Delimitation report delayed by two months

The Delimitation report has been delayed by another two months, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya’s office said today. The Speaker’s office said that the Delimitation Review Committee has informed the Speaker of the delay. The committee has said they require two more months to reach an agreement on certain issues on the delimitation of the electorates.
