The Government is to pay a Rs. 5,000 allowance to Samurdhi beneficiaries and low-income earners. State Minister of Samurdhi, Household Economy, Micro Finance, Self Employment and Business Development Shehan Semasinghe said the allowance will be paid from 2nd June. Moratuwa Mayor arrested for disrupting the duties of health workers

Moratuwa Mayor Samanlal Fernando has been arrested for behaving in an unruly manner during a COVID-19 vaccination drive organized in Moratumulla yesterday.
