Soldier who was part of MP’s security unit dies by suicide

A soldier who was part of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP M.A. Sumanthiran’s security unit has died by suicide. The Police said that the soldier died by allegedly shooting himself using his own weapon. He was found dead in a shelter on land near Sumanthiran’s residence. The victim is a 22-year-old resident of Walapane.
