Section C-350 of treasury bond report published

Section C-350 of the Central Bank treasury bond report has been published in the National Archives on a request made by the Presidential Secretariat.

The Attorney General had earlier cleared releasing?section C350 of the Central Bank treasury bond commission report.

The Attorney General had informed the?Secretary to the President Austin Fernando, releasing the report will not have an impact on ongoing investigations into the scam.

The advice of the Attorney General had been sought to release the full report of the Presidential Commission on the Central Bank treasury bond scam.

President?s Secretary Austin Fernando had said that he had sought the advise of the AG to make public the full report. (Colombo Gazette)

Several injured following accident involving bus and lorry

Several people were injured following an accident involving a bus and a lorry in Moratuwa today. The police said that the bus crashed into the lorry which had slowed down near a bus stand. At least 15 people were injured in the accident and were admitted to hospital. (Colombo Gazette)
