The Health Ministry has suspended the sale and distribution of cough syrups with Dextromethorphan with?immediate?effect. A Maldivian journalist has been rushed to Colombo for urgent medical treatment after he was attacked in the Maldivian capital. Three killed in Veyangoda accident

Three people were killed last night following an accident in Veyangoda, the police said this morning. The police media unit said that a motorbike and a car, both traveling in opposite directions, were involved in the accident. All three victims were on the motorbike and had suffered serious injuries. They died on admission to hospital, the police media unit said. ?The victims were aged 21, 21 and 18 and are residents of Veyangoda. The driver of the car has been arrested. ?(Colombo Gazette)
