US Navy holds talks with Sri Lanka on matters of mutual interest

The US Navy held talks with Sri Lanka today on matters of mutual interest, the Sri Lankan Navy said.

US Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (International Programmes) Rear Admiral Francis D Morley met the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe at the Naval Headquarters in Colombo, today.

Thereafter, they held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interests and the Commander of the Navy paid his gratitude to Rear Admiral Morley for the cooperation extended to the Sri Lanka Navy.

Mementos were also exchanged symbolizing the event. Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General Operations Rear Admiral Piyal de Silva attended the discussion. (Colombo Gazette)
