Foreigner reported missing at adventure themed race in Sri Lanka

A foreigner has been reported missing at an adventure themed race being held in Sri Lanka.

SriLankan Airlines said that?Rumble in the Jungle ? the adventure themed off-road bicycle race being currently held in Sri Lanka, was suspended today in order to locate the missing contestant.

One rider, a foreign participant whose team was leading the race, is currently unaccounted for.

Search and rescue teams aided by the Sri Lankan Police are working round the clock to locate the missing rider. (Colombo Gazette)

UPDATE: The body of the rider was later found and it was reported that he had fallen into the Mahaweli river during the race.

Sri Lankan teen reported missing has been found

A Sri Lankan born Brisbane teenager has been found safe after she went missing from a bus stop on Thursday night, the Daily Mail reported. Anushka Ellalagoda, 19, was spotted by a member of the public around 7.50am on Friday near the corner of Brunswick Street and Merthyr Road at New Farm.
