Sports Minister to brief ICC in Dubai

Minister of Sports Faiszer Musthapa PC, Competent Authority of the SLC, Kamal Pathmasiri and Ashley De Silva; CEO of the SLC will hold a meeting with the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday (06^th?June, 2018) to brief the governing body of cricket regarding the recent developments that took place in the SLC administration.

The meeting will be held with the ICC Chairman Shashank Manohar.

During the meeting the Minister is expected to Manohar on how Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is intending to carry out its future activities.

The meeting will take place at the ICC Headquarters in Dubai.

Sports Minister calls for resignation of Sri Lanka coaching staff

Sports Minister Harin Fernando has called for the resignation of the Sri Lanka Cricket coaching staff. Fernando has requested the Sri Lanka Cricket Board to urge the coaching staff to step down after the upcoming Bangladesh cricket tour to Sri Lanka. The request follows Sri Lanka’s failure to qualify for the 2019 Cricket World Cup semi-final. Chandika Hathurusingha is the head coach of the Sri Lanka cricket team.
