The joint opposition today dismissed allegations made by the President on former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
In a statement joint opposition Parliamentarian Dullas Alahapperuma rejected the claims made by the President with regards to Rajapaksa allegedly taking with him a sophisticated security devise after he lost the 2015 elections.
President Sirisena had said this week that Rajapaksa took with him a sophisticated devise which was at the President’s office which can detect bombs from the President’s car.
Sirisena had also alleged that Rajapaksa took with him new bullet-proof vehicles which were at the Presidential Secretariat. (Colombo Gazette)
