Chinese military delegation holds talks with Army chief

A Chinese military delegation held talks with Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake at the Army Headquarters, the Army media unit said in a statement today.

The Chinese military delegation is currently in Sri Lanka to offer technical assistance to the ongoing Chinese – funded auditorium complex at the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), Diyatalawa and to review its construction progress.

The 4 – member delegation headed by Senior Colonel Chang Luhua, Chief of the project management team of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) exchanged views with the Commander of the Army on the progress of the second phase of the project and other technical aspects.

Phase II of the construction work of the new Auditorium complex commenced on 8th May 2018 at the Sri Lanka Military Academy premises in Diyatalawa.

Major General Ajith Wijesinghe, Military Secretary, Colonel Udaya Kumara, Military Assistance and Colonel Keerthi Ranasinghe, the Project Management Officer for Sri Lanka attended the discussion. (Colombo Gazette)
