Pre-schools in the South closed as deadly virus spreads

All pre-schools in the Southern Province will be closed from May 22 to May 27 owing to the spread of a deadly virus.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health said that a special medical team has been sent to the South to investigate the virus fever spreading in the area.

A special discussion headed by the Director General of Health Services Dr.?Anil Jasinghe was held today with regards to the virus fever spreading in the South.

It was decided at the meeting to deploy medical experts to study the virus and propose appropriate steps to contain its spread.

Steps are also being taken to provide the required medical supplies to all the hospitals in the South to treat the patients suffering from the virus. (Colombo Gazette)
