British rugby player dies after arriving in Sri Lanka, another critical

A?British rugby player has died after arriving in Sri Lanka, the Police media unit said.

Another player is said to be in critical condition.

The Police said the?British rugby player had arrived in Sri Lanka to play a friendly game.

News In Asia reported that the British team had arrived in Sri Lanka from Britain on May 10 and on Saturday had played a friendly rugby match and had thereafter had dinner at a restaurant.

The deceased player and his friend had returned to the hotel in the early hours of Sunday and had experienced difficulty breathing by Sunday morning. He and his friend were rushed to hospital soon after where he died while his friend is in critical condition.?(Colombo Gazette)
