Suspect who was granted bail remanded in customs duty case

A suspect who was granted bail in a customs duty case has been ordered to be remanded by the Colombo Magistrate?s Court. The suspect had been evading paying Rs 40 million in customs duty. The suspect was earlier granted bail but was later ordered to be remanded until the 25th of February.

Indian coast guard hands over 25 Sri Lankan fishermen to Police

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has handed over 25 Sri Lankan fishermen who were arrested in Indian waters, to the Tamil Nadu marine Police. The coast guard had apprehended 25 Sri Lankan fishermen, who were illegally fishing in the Indian territorial waters.
