Mangala to undertake official visit to the United Kingdom

Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera will undertake an official visit to the United Kingdom on 9-14 January 2017. This is the first high-level visit from Sri Lanka to the UK, since the appointment of the new Government of Prime Minister Theresa May following the Brexit vote in July 2016. Initial agreement on Hambantota port to be signed tomorrow

The?Initial agreement on operating the Hambantota port is to be signed tomorrow, Health Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne said today. He said that the opposition is attempting to stage protests in Hambantota against the agreement.
