Military security for fuel distribution

Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says military security has been given for fuel distribution. The Minister told Parliament that concerns have been raised over the security of employees transporting fuel. As a result the Sri Lanka Air Force has given security to railway employees transporting fuel. The Minister said that the Police and military have also been requested to give security to fuel trucks. Wijesekera appealed to the protesters and opposition not to disrupt the fuel distribution

An International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) team of experts has concluded a six-day mission to Sri Lanka to review the country?s infrastructure development for a nuclear power programme. the IAEA said.
