Arrest warrant issued against former Central Bank Governor

An arrest warrant has been issued against former Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran.

The warrant was issued in relation to the?Central Bank treasury bond scam.

Mahendran, who is currently in Singapore, was the?Central Bank Governor at the time the alleged scam took place.

The Colombo Fort Magistrate today issued the?arrest warrant on Mehendran.

Meanwhile,?Perpetual Treasuries head?Arjun Aloysius and Chief Executive Officer Kasun Palisena, who are in remand over the scam, were ordered to be further remanded till March 29. (Colombo Gazette)
