Ramith Rambukwella loses his driving licence for drunk driving

The driving licence of Ramith Rambukwella, son of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, was suspended today after he was arrested for drunk driving.

The Colombo Additional Magistrate ordered the licence to be temporarily suspend.

Rambukwella, a member of the Sri Lanka cricket pool, was arrested on Friday after his vehicle crashed into a motorcycle.

Rambukwella had allegedly assaulted the rider following the accident.

The politician’s son was in 2016 charged for drunk driving and earlier he was also involved in a mid-air drama while under the influence of alcohol. (Colombo Gazette)
