Court rejects Fonseka’s application for seat

A writ application filed by Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka seeking an order to be appointed once again as a Member of Parliament, was dismissed by the Court of Appeal today. Fonseka had urged the court to issue an order to the Parliament Secretary General for him to be given the Parliament seat held by MP Jayantha Ketagoda. The Court however refused to issue such an order.
