Joint opposition party leaders and Maithripala hold talks

Joint opposition party leaders and President Maithripala Sirisena met for talks today.

The talks took place at the President’s official residence.

Joint opposition Parliamentarian Kumara Welgama said that President Maithripala Sirisena assured at the meeting he would consult the Attorney General and legal experts on measures which need to be taken to remove Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The joint opposition had told the President they will support forming a UPFA Government if Wickremesinghe is removed. (Colombo Gazette)
