Gota returns from US, says undecided on entering politics

Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa who returned from the United States (US) today after a few weeks, said he was undecided on entering active politics.

Speaking to reporters at the airport on his return, Rajapaksa said that the public had been misled by the Government over the past three year and the results of the just concluded Local Government (LG) elections proved this.

He said those those who were misled at the last Presidential elections have now seen how important former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is.

The former Defense Secretary said that the public have now spoken and clearly said that they need a Government led by Mahinda Rajapaksa. (Colombo Gazette)

Search continues for missing Sri Lankan diver in Australia

A search is continuing for a Sri Lankan diver in Australia who went missing over the weekend, News.com.au reported. The friends of the?Sri Lankan man who disappeared in the Upper Ord River while cliff jumping thought he was ?mucking around? when his body briefly resurfaced after taking a 19 to 20m plunge.
