US based Tamil diaspora group calls for probe on TNA

A US based Tamil diaspora group has called for an investigation on the Tamil National Alliance (TNA).

The ‘Tamils for Trump’ organisation said that the?TNA was elected to Parliament get bring in North-East merged?federalism for Tamils by conversing with the US, the EU, and?India, so that Tamils can live safely and securely in a Tamil Homeland in the North-East.

However the diaspora group claims the TNA has abstained from conversing with the US, the EU, and?India, but are instead conversing with the Sinhalese.

“These Tamil MPs have abandoned the North-East merger, federalism and instead have enabled a foremost place for Sinhala Buddhism.?Presently we have learned that these MPs were consulting in return for their parliamentary votes, supporting the Government’s?legislation for 2 Million rupees. This is a payoff — a bribe. No Tamil party has ever done this, except Tamil paramilitary groups,” Tamils for Trump claimed.

Tamils for Trump says it is?imperative to investigate the bank statements of the TNA Parliamentarians and their relatives since 2010. (Colombo Gazette)

Srilankan airlines to suspend flights to Paris and Frankfurt

Sri Lanka’s National airline, Srilankan Airlines today announced that it will be suspending flights to Paris and Frankfurt from October and November this year. Accordingly, the last flights between Frankfurt and Colombo (UL 553/554) will be operated on October 30, while UL 563/564 of November 6, 2016 will conclude the operations between Paris and Colombo. Young couple drown after boat overturns in Anuradhapura river

A young couple who had gone on a boat ride in the Anuradhapura river, had drowned after their boat overturned. The police said that the couple were initially reported missing after the boat overturned. A search operation was later launched and the bodies were found today.
