The owner of Perpetual Treasuries Limited Arjun Aloysius and former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kasun Palisena who were arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday over the treasury bond scam have been remanded till February 16.
Aloysius and Palisena had been named by the CID together with former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran as the prime suspects in the scam.
Following the arrest yesterday, Aloysius and Palisena were taken to the CID Headquarters to be questioned and were later produced before a Magistrate and remanded till today.
Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Palisena were produced before the Fort Magistrate today and remanded till February 16.
Mahendran is currently in Singapore. (Colombo Gazette)
