GMOA says strike will continue, warns students may take arms

The Government Medical Officer’s Association (GMOA) today said that it will continue its strike on the SAITM issue. Number of Indian fishing boats entering Sri Lanka sees drop

The number of Indian fishing boats entering Sri Lankan waters illegally has seen a drop, Fisheries Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said. He said that India has taken the issue of Indian fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters seriously. Amaraweera told Parliament tough measures have been taken by Sri Lanka to stop poaching by Indians in Sri Lankan waters.
