Sri Lanka is to issue letters of interests to India and Japan for the construction of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) power plants. Three including 2 1/2 year old child drown in Uma Oya

Three people including a 2 1/2 year old child drowned in the Uma Oya while bathing. The victims were said to be a child, his 38 year old mother and his 81 year old grandmother. Investigations are underway. (Colombo Gazette)
