Inter-province travel ban to be lifted on Sunday

The inter-province travel ban is to be lifted on Sunday 31st October at 4am, the President’s Media Division said today. The decision was taken at the COVID Task Force meeting chaired by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa which was held today. President instructs Foreign Minister to have talks with diaspora

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed Foreign Minister Professor G.L. Peiris to have talks with the diaspora. Court issues order preventing removal of Raja Collure

The Court has issued an order preventing the removal of Raja Collure from the post of Chairman of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka. The Colombo District Court issued the order today after Raja Collure challenged his removal from the party. The Communist Party had announced this week that it had removed Raja Collure from his post with immediate effect. He was removed over a decision taken as Governor of the North Western Province.
