SLFP to probe claims Uva CM forced principal to kneel

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) says it will investigate claims that?the Chief Minister of the Uva Province Chamara Sampath Dassanayake had forced a principal from a school in Badulla to kneel before him.

Meanwhile the?Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has also launched an investigation into the incident.

The Chief Minister, an SLFP member, had reportedly summoned the principal of Tamil Girls? Maha Vidyalaya, Badulla to his residence and made her kneel on the floor because she had refused to enroll a student recommended by him.

The Chief Minister had rejected the allegations. (Colombo Gazette)

GMOA accused of behaving worse than criminals

The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) was today accused of?behaving worse than criminals.
