Former Minister?Mervyn Silva’s son Malaka Silva surrendered to court today after an arrest warrant was issued on him

The arrest warrant was issued by the Colombo Additional Magistrate yesterday after?Malaka Silva failed to appear in court over a case.

The case involves an assault on a Scottish couple in 2014.

Silva’s lawyers informed the Magistrate that?Malaka Silva was unable to appear in court on the scheduled date owing to medical reasons.

The?arrest warrant was later withdrawn and the case was postponed for March. (Colombo Gazette)
